Why Hunt Prairie Dogs?

Why Hunt Prairie Dogs in New Mexico?

While they may seem harmless, prairie dogs can actually be highly damaging to native environments and rangeland. Their extensive tunnel systems disrupt pastureland, threaten livestock, and can even lead to soil erosion. Hunting them helps to control the population and keep the land healthy in general.

Apart from land management, prairie dog hunting is a thrilling and demanding way to improve distance shooting skills. Their fast movement and changing distances provide action at all times, making it a thrilling hunt in one of New Mexico's most picturesque areas.
