New Mexico Cow Elk Hunts
At Wheaton Creek Ranch, Cow Elk hunting is a great way to experience the beauty of New Mexico, while providing a chance to pack your freezer with free-range elk meat. We provide a highly successful, affordable hunt combined with a high-end New Mexico mountain retreat in Game Unit 48.
One cow elk is approximately 200–300 pounds of clean wild natural meat. These hunts are also good for family or beginning hunters, and are generally available between late November and January.
